meshfont started as a weekend hack: what if a designer could reach into a letter, grab a curve, and pull? No install. No license. No hour-long tutorial. Just the letter and your hands.
What meshfont is for
Wordmarks, posters, album covers, one-off display faces — the stuff that lives or dies on personality. meshfont gives you the scalpels to make letters that feel handmade, without asking you to learn a font-engineering pipeline first.
What it's not
meshfont isn't a replacement for Glyphs or FontLab — if you're building a full text family with OpenType features, those tools are the right ones. meshfont is for the display work, the wordmarks, the one-off letters that need personality.
Principles
Letters are clay.
Every glyph is a live SVG. Nothing bakes until you export.
Show, don't configure.
If a feature needs a settings page, it probably needs a better default.
Free to try, always.
Publishing and exporting need an account. Playing does not.
Own your work.
Your fonts are yours. Export in a real format, keep the source, walk away anytime.
