The short version
meshfont is a free font editor in beta. What you make is yours. Be decent to other people and their fonts. We look after your work as well as we can, but this is beta software, so keep copies. English law applies.
Who can use it
Anyone 13 or older. You need an account only to save to the cloud, share a link or use the dashboard. Give us accurate details, keep your sign-in to yourself, and do not use anyone else's. You can delete your account from Settings at any time, with immediate effect.
Your work
You own what you make here; we claim no rights in it. To run the service you give us permission to store your fonts, show them back to you, back them up, and show a shared font to the people you send its link to. That permission is for running the service only and ends when you delete the work or the account. Ideas and feedback you send us, we may use freely.
Fonts you start from or bring in
The typefaces meshfont starts you with are open licensed, and every export carries the notice their licences ask for. A font you import is your responsibility: until you confirm it carries an open licence, exporting and sharing stay off for it. Before you sell or distribute any font, check that its licence allows it. Editing a font does not change what its licence permits.
Sharing
Drawing publishes nothing. A share link is unlisted rather than private: anyone who has it can open the font, so treat the link as the permission. Switch sharing off or make a new link at any time. The font library and the feedback board are not open yet; when they are, what you put there is public.
Fair use and limits
Use meshfont lawfully: nothing you have no right to, nothing harmful, nothing meant to break the service or reach other people's accounts. Each account holds up to 50 fonts, trash included, so the beta stays fast for everyone. We may limit or suspend access where reasonably needed to deal with misuse or a security problem.
A beta, and what we promise
meshfont is provided as it is and will change; features may come, go or pause. Work is held in your browser first, so it can be lost if you clear browser data or hit a bug, and signing in is what puts a copy in the cloud. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work or indirect loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us, which in the beta is nothing. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not let us exclude, and nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
Ending, and changes
Stop whenever you like; delete your account and everything in it whenever you like. We may close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable. Changes are dated at the top of this page, anything that matters to existing accounts is explained before it applies, and nothing applies to what you already did.
Law, and who you are agreeing with
meshfont is run by Paul Mayer, individually, in London, United Kingdom; questions go to hello@meshstudio.app. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. As a consumer elsewhere you keep the protections your own country's law gives you, and you can bring a claim where you live.
